Smile Like Texas

Smile Like Texas are a two piece synthpop band from Wrexham, North Wales, consisting of vocalist Sammy Clifford and beat, synth and harmony master Sebastian "Seb" Barlow. Starting in late 2008, the two have already gained a small cult following, mainly North Walian based, but, with some dotted fans in America.

Echoing the early stylings of Nevershoutnever! they combine rippling synth, vocoder based singing, duets and harmonies, with beats underlining, recently recruiting a drummer to perform drums at their very first show on Sunday the 1st of February 2009, supporting 'Allbright' and more recently, top emo favorite, We Are The Ocean on the 11th of March, 2009.

In 2010 Seb Barlow briefly took Smile Like Texas solo, producing several tracks before ultimately ending the project. Seb is currently in the band Neck Deep.
