Credible Witness

Alternative, Piano Rock, Indie | Windsor, Ontario, Canada

Credible Witness is a Piano Rock/Alternative band that formed in 2003 in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, as a small hobby that would later become what they would pursue as a career. With influences like Relient K, Jack's Mannequin, Mae, Sherwood, Switchfoot, Muse and many more bands, Credible Witness' style proves to be unique to their own music scene. With Ryan Brough, 18, on drums, Walter Senko, 21, piano and lead vocals, Bobby Jacques, 21, on guitar, Michael DiDomenico, 21, guitar and vocal and Jonathan Loiselle, 23, on bass and vocals, their live shows prove to be energetic and passionate with the band's major influences coming out on stage.

Walter and Michael had the idea of Credible Witness for a few years before the rest of the band joined in late 2006. The members of Credible Witness decided to form the band in a local coffee shop where they frequented on a regular basis.

Since then, Credible Witness has recorded an EP, which they have independently pushed over 1000 copies at local shows, received over 50,000 plays and profile hits on myspace, had their song, "Million Stars", featured in the short film "Driving Sideways" and have opened for acts like, Social Code, Hello Kelly, Faber Drive, The Artist Life, and The Ataris.

Lost on Landing

Pop Punk, Piano Rock | Southampton, England

Lost on Landing are probably the best band of their type out there right now. With a feel good pop-punk sound perfect for the summer months, they sound like a cross between Kids In Glass Houses and Tonight Is Goodbye. Each of the four tracks here seems to hit the spot perfectly, marrying up catchy choruses with spot-on vocal melodies. It doesn’t re-invent the wheel, far from it, but Lost on Landing are easily top of the class within the homegrown pop-punk scene.

Lost on Landing will make waves this summer, there’s no doubt about that. They’ve been bubbling under for a while now, but this will hopefully catapult them into the bigger leagues.

"Lost On Landing have managed to produce a truly stunning debut EP. Four tracks of piano driven pop-punk goodness, this is going to be a regular on your summer playlist." - Nerve Magazine

The Real You

Pop Rock, Emo, Piano Rock | Seattle, Washington

The Real You was originally a 5-piece band started by Ryan Striker in 2005 in San Diego, California. During the latter end of 2006 Ryan relocated to Seattle, Washington and later reformed The Real You with all new members.

Since their re-conception in early 2007 they have not only toured relentlessly, but have also achieved many notable accomplishments for an unsigned act. After 2 self-booked full US tours, 2 self-booked West Coast runs, and a short stint in Hawaii with Lifehouse, The Real You were asked to participate in the annual South-by-Southwest music conference in Austin, TX. For 3 nights they showcased their unique style of blending catchy hooks with a fresh take on the Pop/Rock genre. The Real You were also asked to perform at this years annual Sundance Film Festival in Park City, UT to give movie fans a chance to get out of their seats and rock! With their new EP "Better Now Than Never" produced by Jim Wirt (Jack's Mannequin, The Rocket Summer) coming out in December, only time will tell the big things in store for these guys!

2009 Band Lineup: Ryan Striker (Vocals), Xander Burmer (Piano), Daniel Dobyns (Bass), Bob Palilunas (Drums)

Courage Call

Pop Rock, Piano Rock, Alternative | Ashburn, Virginia

Hello friends! My name is Matthew McGinn. I'm not going to sit here and write a really cliche bio in the third person. I think its pretentious. I write pop songs and then I play them on my piano. It's quite the fun time. I'm trying to do anything I can with music and if I'm lucky enough, maybe one day make a career out of it. I love talking to people and meeting new people so talk to me, my contact stuff is to the left. Thanks for listening and help me spread the word.

Patrick Jenkins (of My Favorite Highway) was part of the backing band for Courage Call.

Linden

Pop Rock, Indie, Piano Rock | Menomonie, Wisconsin
Myspace Header, 2008

Linden is a pop/rock band from Menomonie, WI that strives to deliver a catchy, fresh, & enjoyable sound to all that listen. The band began with sisters Kara and Casi Carlson establishing themselves with the recording of their debut EP, "The Future Is..." with producer Jordan Schmidt (All Time Low, Jamestown Story, The Morning Light). Upon the EP's completion the duo immediately began searching for band members to fill out the sound. Through endless auditions and member tryouts the final line-up was vested in late spring of 2008. Plucked from various parts of the nation, bassist Steven Keller (WI), guitarist Aaron Wesselman (VA), and drummer Billy Toti (HI) drawing an end to the search. Kara Carlson stated, "We definitely took our time with the auditions, we wanted to make sure that these were people we could literally spend the rest of our lives with. Not only do we click as musicians, but we have become family."

With a widespread and consistently growing fanbase, the future is bright for this family of musicians. When asked what his favorite part of being in Linden was, Steven Keller said, "I think my favorite part of being in this band is waking up every day knowing that I am a part of something real that people appreciate. Everyone in this band is equally and genuinely dedicated to fulfilling our goals, and I think that shines through in all aspects of the music". Keep your eyes and ears open for the future of this hard working, pop sensation, Linden.

Your Friend, Peter Giles

Indie, Acoustic, Piano Rock | Boise, Idaho
Myspace Header

Dear Friends,

Over the past few months, I have seen the countryside by foot, plane, and automobile. I have flown from the Pacific to the Atlantic and experienced beauty from great heights. I have filled my car with gasoline merely to drive and see how far it could take me. I have walked farther than I ever believed I could.

It is interesting how one day you wake up in places you never thought you'd be. Even as a child, I read books of different cities and imagined myself being carried away, deep within the pages, into another land far from home. I'm not exactly sure what it was that brought me to the point of leaving. Some nights in bed, my mind would spin from the anticipation of seeing places I have only read about, while other nights were spent unsettled by the notion of leaving loved ones behind. Whatever the case, I eventually decided that I had to leave to see the world for myself, and oh, what a journey it has been.

Back country landscapes and the awe of big city skyscrapers have only been a portion of my adventure. I have experienced everything from the delight of small town, Southern hospitality to the disappointment of watching some sell their soul for materialistic tripe. I have laughed with new friends of whom I encountered on the road and cried from the loneliness of being away from the friends I had at home. Whatever the case, I want you to know I am thinking about you. You have not left my mind since the day I left home. I will be back soon with more stories to share and with ears ready to hear your own.

Your Friend,

Peter Giles

My Paper Camera

Pop, Piano Rock, Indie | Boise, Idaho
Myspace profile header image

Not long after graduating high school, Trevor Powers and Erik Eastman decided to convert their acoustic project into a full-fledged band. Shortly after their decision to expand, guitarist Spencer Rule was added to the mix. After many difficult months of member changes, they were eventually introduced to bassist Seth Cole, who moved from his hometown of Monmouth, Oregon to join the band.

Refusing to follow the industry’s mindset of “get rich or die trying,” My Paper Camera was formed with a much deeper goal than music alone. “We want people to leave our shows with something to chew on,” says Powers, “not necessarily to swallow... We are real people who struggle with real things, and we hope that comes out in our music. Our agenda is simple: to love. If we could encourage or love just one person at a show, I feel we have done our job.” That way of thinking is what motivates MPC to have such an energetic and passionate live show every time they walk on a stage.

“There is nothing quite as freeing as playing music that you feel from the bottom of your heart. We dance, shake, and sway through our whole set every show. There are different feelings in all of our songs that we can’t help but express when we play.”

After releasing their debut EP Faces in a Magazine, the band feels they are one step closer towards attaining their ambition of being on the road full-time. The six-song album, engineered/produced by Muse Labs in Boise, ID and mastered by Ed Brooks (Fleet Foxes, Death Cab for Cutie) at RFI in Seattle,WA, deals with issues ranging from self-acceptance to break-ups. “Faces in a Magazine does a good job of showing the pallet of musical influences that this band uses.” adds Rule. “It has hints of epic rock and more melodic sounds from our past, as well as a new and fresh takes on synth hooks and disco beat driven dance rock. The EP is really an encapsulation of our journey as band for the past two years.”

After My Paper Camera disbanded Trevor Powers went on to start the solo project Your Friend, Peter Giles (which you can find HERE) before ultimately creating Youth Lagoon.
