Thoroughfare

Rock, Alternative, Pop | Knoxville, Tennessee
Myspace Header, 2009

When Jordan Beach, Thomas Boyd and Colin Cunningham met in 2004 the three instantly recognized they wanted to make music together. It wasn’t long before the band Thoroughfare, a dynamic force in the world of Modern rock was formed. The band wasted no time releasing their debut EP record “Portrait of a Daydream,” which was produced by platinum selling producer Travis Wyrick (Pillar, POD) as well as their recent EP “Chemical Road” produced by Grammy™ nominated producer David Ivory (Erykah Badu, the Roots).

The band, consisting of singer/guitarist Jordan Beach, drummer Colin Cunningham, keyboardist Cameron Cunningham and bassist Thomas Boyd have been furiously on their way to making their mark in every city they travel to. Blessed with great songs, sharp chops, passionate vocals and an unbelievable engaging live show, Thoroughfare shows no signs of a slowing pace, and only looks to traverse more untouched musical ground. Opening for nationally renowned acts like Uncle Kracker and Bang Bang Bang, from intimate clubs to sprawling festivals, Thoroughfare is poised to explode nationwide. In that endeavor the band has taken the ultimate step in the furtherance of their career by signing with national artist management firm Allure Media Entertainment Group based in Philadelphia and Los Angeles.

Thoroughfare has plans to hit the studio again with Travis Wyrick in late August for their first full length album. Visit Thoroughfare's websites to hear a sampling of their recent recordings and to keep up to date with this emerging force in rock music.

Several members went on to form the band The Few.

Forget Me Not

Rock, Pop, Alternative | Denver, Colorado

Forget Me Not is a Colorado band with songwriting sensibilities but a passion to rock. The band has been making a name for themselves around Denver for a couple years, but with the recent addition of two new members; RJ Powers (drums) and Vanessa Spear (keys and vocals), the band found themselves re-shaping older songs and writing with fresh ideas. The band recorded their debut EP, “Calling For Context” under the careful guidance of J.P. Manza (from Take To The Oars) at Colorado Sound Studios in November 2010. Brian Vogt's powerful lead vocals and guitar, backed by Drew Lundquist on bass and Mikael Kilates playing lead guitar show that this band is made up of talented musicians. The result is a well-crafted record that highlights a rare balance between songwriting finesse and heavier rock and roll with hints of pop that will get you moving.

Dancell

Alternative, Pop Punk, Rock | Jacksonville, Florida

Hailing from Jacksonville/Jacksonville Beach, Florida, with members barely out of high school, Dancell has developed a multi-genre sound all their own. Coining their sound simply as "Alternative Pop Punk", this group of young Floridians creates intricate and compelling songs that are based on the daily trials and triumphs of life.

Formed early 2008, Dancell quickly gained local attention; but rather than rush and make mistakes, the members of Dancell decided to take time to develop a sound and build a solid fan-base in their hometown. This patience has given them the chance to open for top musical artists such as Gym Class Heroes, Less Than Jake, Hoobastank, From First To Last, and Bayside. Their dedication is sure to pay off soon enough.

This fall, Dancell will independently release their Same Mistakes EP, produced/recorded/mixed by James Paul Wisner and mastered by Alan Douches. With a unique dedication and refusal for complacency, Dancell continues to compose brand new music for its future as a non-replaceable part of the Florida music scene

2009 band lineup: Patrick Dancel (Drums/vocals), Jun Condez (Bass/Vocals), Sherwin Rio (Guitar), Mark Micolucci (Keyboard), Chavis Fullmore (Guitar)

Missiles and Markers

Pop Punk, Emo, Rock | Glen Rock, New Jersey

Missiles and Markers first formed in 2006 after several renditions of solo projects by front man Chris Simons. Lugging around his acoustic guitar from open mic to open mic, he befriended the boys that would later complete the quintet. “Playing just me acoustic was fun, but I always left shows wondering what it would be like if I took it up a few decibels,” said Simons.

Hooking up with seasoned artists drummer Joe Ott, and guitarists Mark Cebula and Jon Blendy, the band quickly took the NJ scene by storm. They relentlessly played shows at small halls and bars, but as time went by the kids started to listen. In 2007, Missiles and Markers opened for The Starting Line and won the Converse battle of the bands at the Journeys Backyard BBQ. With a closet full of new shoes, the guys released their first demo titled “Roses in Ransom.” The album was a collection of songs recorded between PJ Bianco of sphere recording, and Jesse Cannon of Cannon Sound. The demo garnered a ton of local attention. Not only was it featured on numerous college radio stations, but Missiles and Markers' song "Sweet Katie" was also aired on New York’s 923 KRocks JV and Elvis show, as well as the National broadcast Opie and Anthony Program. "Sweet Katie" was featured on both programs with outstanding results. The song became a fan hit, and was soon the featured sing-a-long to close out their shows. “Kids related to it,” says drummer Joe Ott.

Late 2008, Missiles and Markers perked the interest of Water Music and Infidel Records Honcho Rob Grenoble, who signed the band to their first record deal. The new album promises to be a collection of windows into each members personal lives. The lyrics are composed of heartbreak and bitterness, mixed with sprinkles of addiction, revenge, adventure, and fun. Mixing crisp tight guitar tones with poppy sing-along chorus’, the album paints a canvas that crawls out the speakers and gets everyone moving. Even though the songs are not theoretically “released,” demos are getting strong fan response all over the country just from being on the website.
