Faster Than Fashion

Pop Punk, Emo, Rock | Poughkeepsie, New York
Band Photo, 2007

Faster Than Fashion is a five-piece band from New York State.

You wouldn't imagine it from the surreal, laid-back cover of their debut release, but when I first heard it, I was excited by the clear vocals and dramatic emo melodies that made me think of Spitalfield returning! But the more I listened, the more I was shocked! Emo, pop punk, post-hardcore, screamo, electronica, it's a dramatic emo melody that seems to have been extracted and concentrated from the best parts of various genres, and it's a sound that can't be predicted at all, even horns and claps are included, so it's a real free-for-all sound! But that doesn't mean it's dissonant. The catchy chorus melody and romantic development make it a wonderful work of art. It may not matter what genre it is, but if you like the dramatic and opera-like taste of pop punk, you will definitely like this work.
