Pop Rock, Indie | Seattle, Washington
Sight vs. Sound started in February of 2008. When old members of Seattle bands This Providence and Elite Stranger ran into each other at a show they talked about writing some new music. They got together and the rest is history. They consist of Ryan Tapert on drums/vocals, Ryan Danley on guitar/vocals and Peter Ellis on bass. All that was left was to find a lead singer. Before long they enlisted Josh Heitzman to fill the spot and play rhythm guitar. With the lineup in place they began writing songs for their debut EP which was released in November of 2008. This young talented group of guys bring a positive message of hope in a scene where many are tempted to other things to bring them joy. Put alongside a driving sound that includes raw swirling guitars, upbeat pounding drums, and the unique dueling vocals of Heitzman and Tapert, the song writing in this group is hard to match. When all those things fall into place, where can they go wrong?
Josh Heitzman went on to join the band Mayweather from Everett, Washington.
