The Hoodies

Founded in May of 2004 in Rochester, NY, The Hoodies' catalogue includes 2 U.S. releases and 1 Japanese release. The band has built up a strong word-of-mouth following in the early 2000's by packing local venues and concentrating on college campuses. In addition to amassing a sizable following, their self-released full-length, Karma is a Boomerang (2005) has opened many doors for the band. Engineered by John Naclerio of Nada Recording Studio (Brand New, Senses Fail, My Chemical Romance) and mastered by Troy Glessner of Spectre Studios (Underoath, Pedro The Lion), this 10 song full-length is now available to listeners in Japan through a distribution deal with Angelina Recordz.

Released on January 7th 2006, the indie quartet's sophomore release, Endings, has the chops and vision that takes their music to different places, while continuing to please the masses with catchy choruses and fist-pumping fan favorites like "Asleep in Me" and "Heavens Above, Sky Below". For this 3-song EP, The Hoodies teamed up with engineers Mark Gifford and Tony Gross of G.F.I. Music (Longwave, Lou Gramm Band). It's a safe bet to say that Endings is in fact just the beginning. With a sprawling, gorgeous, heavy-yet-quiet sound, The Hoodies aren't afraid to explore new grounds.

The Hoodies' business extends beyond CD sales. In addition to independently funding, pressing and releasing their albums, they also have a full line of merchandise, including shirts, pins, zip-ups, stickers and more. With a fully operational and easy to navigate website, many of these items can be viewed and purchased by anyone worldwide.

Even while virtually running their own private business, there is no stopping the band's commitment to a solid live show. Audiences have certainly shown their gratitude. Crowds of 400+ turned out for recent shows, including their CD release party in January.

The Hoodies have performed with national acts that include Hellogoodbye, Houston Calls, Action Action, As Tall As Lions, Roses Are Red, Daphne Loves Derby, Gym Class Heroes, The AKA's, Park, Cute Is What We Aim For, and various other artists. The Hoodies are also proud to wear the shirts of their clothing sponsor Ascend Apparel (Circa Survive, The Early November), as well as be heard locally in regular rotation on many radio stations.

Listen to the Sky

Formed in 2009, Listen to the Sky started writing and their performances pushed through the Burlington "Metal/Hardcore Scene" as something totally different. An almost dance rock group with a female singer. 2010 has proved to be a challenging year with a few member changes but has also been rewarding while releasing their first EP and embarking on a summer tour down the east coast. Listen to the Sky doesn't show any signs of slowing down with 2011 right around the corner!

Listen to the Sky now consists of Kelsey Wells as lead vocalist, Tony Murphy on Guitar, Marc Verity on Guitar, Sean Wisowaty on Bass, and Ruston Fettig on Drums.

Adelynne

Alternative, Pop Rock | Des Moines, Iowa

Adelynne has always had a hard time convincing crowds they’re from the heartland of central Iowa, and for good reason. After all, the band’s founding members originated from the towering cities of Chicago and Detroit before bringing those sensibilities to the heartland. Following years of development and growth, the band would later extend it’s reach to New York for the addition of vocalist Chris Murtagh, concluding an extensive nationwide search.

A desire for bigger, better, and brighter things soon prompted the crew to begin work on a slick, mainstream approach to both their sound and musical philosophy which paid off in a big way.

After Establishing a relationship with up and coming producer Marc McClusky (Ludo, Weezer), the band developed into a promising alt-pop-rock band, with a relentless work ethic and infectiously catchy tunes. Turning the heads of bloggers, local radio DJs, and fans alike, the band released it’s first EP.

2008’s “Ghosts and Machines” garnered regular rotation on regional radio and generated an impressive influx of interest, taking in well over a quarter of a million unique MySpace hits and helping to establish the band as a local mainstay. That reputation would allow them the opportunity to hone their craft in support of acts such as The Used, Switchfoot, Less Than Jake, and Cobra Starship.

Following the release of “Ghosts and Machines,” the band reteamed with McClusky in 2010 for a fresh batch of new, mainstream material that should please old and new fans alike. With songs like the pop hook laden “Hello, Beautiful,” the top 40 ballad “The Truth,” and the alt rock anthem “Almost Home,” the band’s massively wide appeal should quickly attract even more attention as they press onward into 2011.

Adelynne now looks forward to the future and once again turning heads as this “big city band from the heartland” forges another chapter in it’s ever growing, illustrious, tale.

Quinn Ivory

Indie, Pop, Pop Rock | Tustin, California

In spite of their fresh semblance, the members of Orange County-based Quinn Ivory have a rich history together. Vocalist Liz Anne Hill and drummer Valerie Franco became inseparable in their high school years, writing music together and soaking up the local music scene. As Franco pursued her craft professionally after graduation, Hill and guitarist Logan Scott played and toured together for several years.

Fate brought Hill and Franco back together in the summer of 2010, both hired on as musicians for the Glam Nation tour with Adam Lambert. After getting a taste of life on tour, the pair returned home eager to carve out a place for themselves and get back on the road. With Scott waiting at the helm with a bank of fresh riffs, the newly formed Quinn Ivory had no problem developing an authentic and organic sound all their own.

Now, with a freshly pressed EP as their formal introduction, Quinn Ivory is overwhelmed with fan response and busy writing their first full length album.

Seymoure

ROCK. That's all that this quartet from the piney woods of East Texas wants to do. PLAIN AND SIMPLE.

In the winter of 2008, Seymoure went and recorded a new EP, "Pretending It's Casual" with producer Geoff Rockwell (Forever the Sickest Kids, Red Car Wire, School Boy Humor, and Artist Vs. Poet) and are planning on releasing it in January 2009. Keep a look out for Seymoure in a town near you.

They previously released an EP called "Between Here and There" in 2008 under the band name Seymoure and the Wilmingtons but we have yet to find it.

Finding the Warren

Pop Rock, Powerpop, Pop Punk | Des Moines, Iowa

Hailing from an area not often known for music, Des Moines, Iowa, Finding the Warren is made up of Joe Summers (Vocals), Tyler Kingkade (Guitar), Ryan Hubbard (Bass), Nick Tillinghast (Keys), and Kelly Kunzler (Drums), with all members sharing in writing lyrics. They began with four members, but after losing their original singer and keyboardist, Aaron Sperry, the remaining three members decided to replace him with not one but two new members, one for vocals and one for keyboards. Shortly after new singer Joe Summers joined the band in April of 2008, things started taking off and the band has shared the stage with national acts in almost every show they've played since April 2008.

The band secured a spot on the Ernie Ball stage during the 2008 Vans Warped Tour, and they’ve played with The Maine, Mayday Parade, Breathe Carolina, Mae, The Higher and A Rocket to the Moon, among many others. At the end of this month, they will be playing a show with Cute is What We Aim For, Every Avenue, and Breathe Carolina, sharing the stage with the last two for the third time.

Most recently, Finding the Warren celebrated the release of their first CD at the House of Bricks in Des Moines, Iowa, playing to a nearly sold-out crowd and cementing their status as Iowa’s hottest band. The CD has gotten a great response, and the band has made plans to record more tracks this summer. They have also received a sponsorship deal and have several of their songs in regular rotation on Clear Channel and college radio stations around Iowa.

Their upcoming plans include an acoustic set in Hot Topics around malls in the Midwest set up by the Hot Topic franchise, playing a headlining spot on the popular Gross Domestic Product music festival in Des Moines, and plans for a summer tour as well as recording with Jordan Schmidt in Minneapolis, a producer who has worked with bands on Epitaph Records, Atlantic Records, Hopeless Records, and many on the rise pop rock bands.

After Finding the Warren disbanded several of the members went on to form Classic in the Making.

Tonight the Prom

Tonight the Prom is a rock band from Chicago. Andrew and Jordan grew up in the same neighborhood and learned to play guitar together. In high school they met Luke and began writing and performing as a group. After several lineup changes, drummer Luke Sagadin came to join Andrew, Jordan, and Luke in 2009.

Tonight the Prom has performed at many venues from the House of Blues Chicago to The Vans Warped Tour, and everywhere before and between! Currently (Fall 2008) Tonight the Prom has finished their debut album, "Our Greatest Mistakes", and plans to release the album on their own in the late fall/early winter. My Every Move

We are a four piece pop/rock band from Northeast Oklahoma by the name of My Every Move. We know that life is short and so our message is simple: have fun, do what you love, and don't let anything stop you from living your dream. About nine months ago we decided to take our own advice and really bring it to life. What started as nothing more than a few friends jamming in a garage, eventually became something much more valuable. After writing a few songs we were very proud of, we dropped everything and hit the road for New York City to record our debut E.P. "Now or Never". Since then we've been able to stir quite a buzz for the band and we're very excited to finally make our first appearance. We picture a very bright future for our band and we won't stop until we reach the top.

The band consisted of Dylan Stevens, Klint Vance, and Ryan Barnett. Frontman Dylan Stevens went on to join the band Artist Vs Poet but was also previously in A Bird, A Sparrow (guitar and backup-vocals), Carawae (guitar and back-up vocals), Fiction City (bass).

Of Violence and Vanity

Rock, Progressive | Medford, Oregon

On August 25th 2009, the first effort from progressive rock group Of Violence and Vanity dropped, surrounded by much acclaim. Hailing from Oregon, the group is the fruits of hard work from musical prodigy Daniel Huddleston. Huddleston, a dedicated songsmith, recorded all vocals and all of the album’s intricate musicianship, with the drum backing provided by Caleb Benedict.

As the guitarist for the group Falling Up, Huddleston has already seen success on numerous U.S. tours, but wanted to try his hand at other aspects of the music industry. His extensive resume and technical prowess flung open doors for him to work as a producer for independent bands, such as Herein Arcadia, as well as providing musical session skills. Now, his career has led up to this release, the product of many months of recording and writing.

The project is solid, combining roaring guitars with gutsy vocals and songwriting. Mixing and mastering was done by Josh Shroy in Lebanon, Oregon. First single, “Hell Over Heels”, is an airtight rock piece, showcasing Huddleston’s vocal as well as hefty guitar riffs.

With opportunities bright on the horizon for this thriving artist, including prominent tour bookings for 2010, this is just the beginning for this deserving band.

The Record Kid

The Record Kid formed after the founding members' previous band, Love Takes Flight, dissolved in the wake of a label bankruptcy. Within a month of its conception the members found themselves scraping together what little money they had in order to make things happen. Guitarist Tucker Richmond elaborates, "As soon as things really started to fall into place in the process of writing the new material, we knew we wanted to do everything in our power to put together a recording and get it out to people as soon as possible! We really love and believe in the steps we're taking as a band, and think that the record genuinely reflects who we are, both personally and musically. We want it to be a positive voice to those who come across it!"

On their upcoming debut release The Record Kid manages to avoid the confines in which a typical rock/pop outfit would happily dwell. Singer Jeff Bowman states, "We didn't want to write the same sounding song over and over. We wanted each track to have its own personality; to push our sound in a different direction yet collectively define it! The end result, we feel, is a diverse yet cohesive record that displays a full spectrum musically... as opposed to just a few colors!"
